Fiestas
Although the day of the Patron Saint is in October, the patron saint festivities, called "Fiestas de Mayo", are celebrated during the week of "Corpus Christi" in honour of the Virgin of the Rosary. The origin dates back to the 18th century and it is believed that it is related to the harvesting work and the extensive dedication of its inhabitants to the breeding of the silkworm.
The Moors and Christians fiestas were started in Benejúzar by a group of young people in 1992. Since then, both the Moorish and Christian parades have been held in June after the patron saint’s fiestas of Our Lady of the Rosary.
