This is probably the most difficult property I have ever had to describe because I was in a state of amazement throughout the visit. 141,000m2 of land giving you 100% privacy and yet not in the middle of nowhere, in fact, it´s only an 8 minute drive into Sax and/or Castalla.
The views, indescribable, from almost everywhere on the estate are breathtaking.
The remote-controlled impressive entrance gates take you to a driveway which leads up to the villa past the garage and summer kitchen, the summer kitchen that I must not forget to mention later. The driveway then takes you, if you want, all the way around the property and can lead you off to a secret rear driveway. It´s not really a secret, but it looks like it should be.
The land is a mixture of pine forest and landscaped gardens, there are a ridiculous number of places to relax and enjoy whether you want to sunbathe or top use the pines for natural shade and cool down or enjoy the mountain breeze along with a G&T.
The massive swimming pool and terrace is definitely a favourite for sunbathing, and it is built on an elevated piece of land with extraordinary views
The property itself is split into two, the traditional level with four bedrooms and the lower level which is a beautiful spacious self-contained apartment. The owners moved to the lower level some time ago and have often rented the upper level to groups and/or large families.
The summer kitchen, before I forget, is like going back in time and has a very high-quality modern oven hidden away at the side of the large BBQ. It is right up there along the best I have seen and looks around 100 years old, I love it as you can probably tell.
If I write about the entire property it will be the equivalent of a ream of paper so have a look through the photos as I´m sure you have a general idea by now.
About Sax.
The picturesque town of Sax tumbles down a hillside in the Vinalopó Valley, in south-eastern Spain and is one of a series of towns and villages in this region of the Costa Blanca which are dominated by castles. Sax has a population of around 9,000 and is located between the towns of Villena and Elda. The history of Sax goes back to the times of the Moorish occupation beginning during the Eighth Century and little is known of the town prior to that time.
The people of Sax are warm and friendly and the town has a good selection of shops, tapas bars and restaurants, a market is held twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays. As always Sax has its share of fiestas and festivals, the main one being the Moors and Christians festival held during the first 2 weeks of February.
